Dr. John Davis, MD, is a board-certified family physician (DABFM) with more than 12 years of clinical experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care across Michigan. As the founder and medical director of Platinum Health Direct Primary Care, Dr. Davis created a model of healthcare that is simple, affordable, and personal — eliminating insurance barriers and focusing instead on the direct relationship between physician and patient. His mission is to give every patient the time, attention, and transparency they deserve through membership-based direct primary care.
Dr. Davis completed his undergraduate studies at Wayne State University, earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences, and completed his Family Medicine residency at Michigan State University.
His areas of expertise include chronic disease management, preventive medicine, and comprehensive primary care for individuals and families throughout The Grosse Pointes, St. Clair Shores, Kalamazoo, and surrounding Michigan communities.

Sydney Davis
Sydney Davis brings over 10 years of experience in school administration, communications, and organizational leadership to her role as Business Manager at Platinum Health Direct Primary Care. She oversees the daily operations of the practice, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for both patients and staff while helping to promote the benefits of our membership-based model.
In addition to managing operations, Sydney leads patient outreach and marketing efforts, connecting the community with the value of direct primary care and emphasizing Platinum Health’s commitment to accessible, relationship-driven medicine. Her background in leadership and communication allows her to foster a welcoming environment where patients feel informed, valued, and cared for.
Outside of work, Sydney is a passionate musician and trained clarinetist from The Juilliard School. She enjoys performing, exploring new music, traveling, trying new restaurants with her husband, and staying active on her Peloton bike.
